Where to stay near Citizens Bank Park for Phillies game?

Hi, do you have a recommendation for a hotel near Citizens Bank Park? We have 5 in our family (2 adults, 3 kids) and would like a room with 2 queens that would take all of us, and could spend up to $150 a night, but would prefer to keep it to $120. Our Phillies game is at night so am also wondering about safe transportation back to the hotel. We don't know Philadelphia at all or its public transportation system. Thanks! Cathy

Most people stay in Center City and take the subway to Citizens Bank Park. There'll be plenty of people taking the subway, so it should be safe.

A few that come to mind (within your budget) would be the DoubleTree, or Marriott Courtyard, or Hilton Garden Inn. I think all the above also have suites, which may give you some extra space for a little more $.

The Marriott Residence Inn is also an option. It is an all-suite property.

The Holiday Inn-Stadium is across the parking lot from the Ball park.

There is not much else around there. It will be a safe easy walk after a game.

The Broad Street Line (also called the "Orange" Line) goes from 15th Street in Center City to Pattison, from which you'll have a shorter walk to the Park than any hotel or parking lot in the area. So, choose any of a dozen or so hotels in Center City and take the Orange Line to the Park.

Stay in Center City and take the train. You'll be safe as there will be plenty of other people on the train after the game.

I wouldn't advise staying near the stadium. There isn't much to do in that area other than sporting events.
