Suuuuuuuz,
While our last stay at Emb Suites in SoShore was clouded due to a "Goldschlager induced, short term memory loss", aren't most of their casinos pretty much non-smoking now?

The SoShore EmbSuites is a very nice place.

Non- smoking? Are you craaaaaazy? amp;

They might have no smoking areas but that doesn't work either. Not a big gambler anyway so it wouldn't really impact me if they went non smoking. Noticed that Thunder Valley allows smoking. Wow, californians can sit inside a building and smoke again?

Last time I was in Tahoe everyone was smoking away in the casino. You are right Californians can't smoke in buildings in California but the casinos are in Nevada.

Viamar, The Indian Casinos are popping up all over Ca and some state laws don't apply to those buildings. Thunder Valley opened last week in Placer County, home to some "regular" fodorites.

Sorry, I thought the previous posts were about the casinos in South Shore.

The last time I was in Vegas it seemed that a couple of the newer casinos were slightly less smoke-filled (?Bellagio) due perhaps to improved ventilation and high ceilings. There were also a few token non-smoking tables (as if the smoke would read the sign and promptly not invade that air space) which were always filled to the max. You'd think they would get a hint and work to lessen the problem. I noted on one of the websites that one of the Tahoe casinos (?Lakeland?) had put in improved ventilation to try and help lessen the smoke issue...and they were advertising that fact, which is a step in the right direction. Thanks for the above messages and info!
