WHERE TO STAY IN SEDONA
Any advice on a hotel/motel/B&B in Sedona. I would like a room that has a nice view, more adult oriented, that allows smokers (please, no lectures on the vices of cigarette smoking, I agree, but not getting a divorce to get away from one). Enchantment more expensive than what I want.

How many people are in your party?
I checked out a place called Red Buck Ranch that looks much better than Enchantment at half the price, and you're all by yourself there. It's at www.redbuckranch.com. It's a private ranch home with two bedrooms, whirlpool indoors and out, fireplaces everywhere, including outdoors, private pool with waterfall, etc. It looked just beautiful but it was only me & not worth it for just one person.

I was sorry to read that you can't consider the Enchantment Resort. I saw it about 6 years ago, and finally got an opportunity to travel to Sedona again in 2000. The canyon is truly a wonderful site to look out on in the morning. You might try calling the hotel close to the date you are going (if you won't be penalized by cancelling your other reservation). I did that and was quoted a rate $50 less than when I had called previously.
I would go back in a minute.
