I like the Sunburst Resort in Scottsdale for very reasonable rates and good location. I went in Oct. for $99/night and am going back in June for $79/night. Really nice workout facilty (and I'm an aerobics instructor who is picky about that stuff)and a small spa I haven't tried yet.
I like that it is very small so it is more intimate than the large resorts. One pool has a sandy edge and there are fire pits all over the yard around the pools which is nice for sitting and talking at the end of the day.
They have a Cadillac Escalade that will take you anywhere within three miles of the hotel (until 11pm) so you can get a ride to Old Town Scottsdale for shopping and art galleries, to the very large Scottsdale Fashion Mall(which is really walking distance from the hotel), to loads of restaurants, and to the Borgata, another small but upscale mall.
