Where to stay in DC ? Please help!

If you can afford the Willard- I would go for it-it is so close to everything in DC- The Mall and the monuments....
let us know what they say about the fridge! I posted my review of Homewood Suites Thomas Circle at trip advisor this morning- it should show up in a couple of days.
I had read some advice once that said if you call in the wee hours to make a reservation- the receptionist can sometimes give you a great rate becuase they do not have to get supervisors approval etc. Just passing it on....
