Where to stay in Atlanta
We will be in Atlanta 2/7 to 2/10. Primary purpose is to visit the GA Aquarium. We won't have a car, so we are looking for a place that has easy access to the Acquarium as well as the Botanical Gardens and Zoo. Bucktown sounds great, but would it be a pain to get around to the sites?

You can stay anywhere near a MARTA station and get close to the Aquarium and Botanical Gardens. Airport, Downtown, Midtown, Buckhead - any of those would work. To get to the zoo, I guess you'd have to take a bus - or maybe a tour from your hotel.

We took a short trip to Atlanta and stayed downtown. We were able to walk to the Aquarium. We took a cab to and from the hotel to the Cyclarama (by the zoo). On the way back from the Cylorama, we had the cab drop us at the Varsity and then took a cab the rest of the way back. In the downtown area, we went to the top of the Westin (great views) and to the CNN tour (I could have skipped this but others in my family liked it).

Jumping in here: Will Botanical Gardens be pleasant at this time of year? Husband has business meeting in Atlanta end of Feb. and I decided not to go since I'm not interested in indoor touring (except maybe the aquarium). I love botanical gardens (good ones), so if they'd be pleasant then, I'd like to go also. But gardens in temps that're likely to be in the 40's/50's?
Thanks for advice.

Now is a GREAT time to visit the Botanical Gardens. There's a great exhibit in the conservatory - orchids and glasswork -
