Where to go on a free airline ticket?
I have a free ticket on UA that expires in May so I need to us it soon. I travel alot in my current job and have been about everywhere. Any ideas were a 30 something person could go for a long 3 or 4 day weekend in March or April?

I too travel frequently to the US from Canada.
Suggestion ....Fly to Seattle on United.
Take the Ferry to Victoria, B.C. on Vancouver Island.
If you haven't travelled to Canada you only need a birth certificate and picture ID to get through customs.
Vicotia is the Capital city of B.C. Our Provincial(like State)Parliament Buildings are here. Next door to this is the BC Provinical Museum which has a fantastic Leonardo da Vinci exhibit on right now. Victoria is easy to around in by rented car, or bus. Victoria has very mild weather during the winter months. Even better than Seatlle. Stay at the Ocean Point Resort on the inner harbour. You can walk to all the tourista things here. Or go for a walk or jog along the sea wall. There are also little or tiny ferries that move people to different sites in the inner harbour, one stops at this Ocean Point Hotel (on the internet). Victoria is very quaint and very British you may even see the Bagpipers playing their tunes outside on a nice day in the winter. I am not from Victoria but I do live in BC. Ferries to and from Victoria are easy to catch you could even take the Greyhound bus from the bus terminal and board the Ferry. You can also take a horse and carriage ride in Victoria catch it beside the Parliament Buidlings. The horse and buggy (wagon) can hold about 20 or so people and takes you on a narrated tour of the area. You can also go to the Empress Hotel within walking distance for high British tea if you are so inclined or visit the Bristish Pub around the corner. There is a lot of BC history here in this area. You will find information about the Hudson Bay Company that operated the fur trading industry in Canada during it's early days. United Air also flies into Vancouver BC. Vancouver is a large city for Canadian standards, also rated one of the most beautiful in the world . More beautiful than Boston or SanFranciso,or Seatlle. It has mountains and water, and rain ! in the winter. Harder to get around in on a weekend tour though. Anyway enough of my tourist pitch. Happy travelling

My suggestion is much simpler, but very relaxing and fun: Las Vegas! Even if you don't gamble there is so much to see. Miss Vegas for 6 months and there's two new hotels! Check-out the new Bellagio, or Mandalay Bay, or in 6 months--Paris,L.V. Visit these sights before you go: www.e-vegas.net/exchange

Depends on where you're leaving from. Don't think I'd want jet lag to mess up my short time to relax! Miami (South Beach) or San Diego or Galveston TX if you want to beach-it. Seattle has great night life. Washington, DC has lots to do. Phoenix, AZ. Try a location where Spring Training is going on if you'e a baseball fan.
