Where to eat this Sat. before the opera?

I'm on this sort of late I know. Looking for something nearby that's less than $100 per person without drinks. French would be nice - no Mexican as I am from Southern California and I get plenty of good stuff here. Tried La Boîte en Bois but they are booked. Thanks in advance!

Never mind -

I've decided to go to The Grand Tier DURING the opera. Food sounds decent and it should be an interesting experience. Cheers

Yes, you've decided, but a friend has recently been to Bar Boulud (right across Broadway) and was pleasantly surprised - although it has gotten mixed reviews, she and two others had a wonderfully reasonable and delicious meal after a film - lots of food for about $30 per person, no drinks - and the food was very high quality. Another friend had a terrific lunch there last week. Good to know about . . .

You'll enjoy the Grand Tier experience. The food is decent and you can't beat the ambiance!

Yes. Howard is the one who suggested it to us and we had a great evening. I really enjoyed returning to our table at intermission to have our dessert and coffee.
