Where to Eat on Kauai?

My husband and I are going to Kauai for our babymoon in January. We would like some recos for where to eat? Can be casual, more pricey and we will have a car so even though staying at Grant Hyatt (which I am sure we will eat at) we can travel. Please help!

Make sure you get the breakfast buffet coupons/deal included in your hotel at Grand Hyatt...it's an incredible buffet but pricey if you had to shell out the $$$.

Golf club restaurant has some pretty good food.
Love this resort and the salt water lagoon is incredible.
Hopefully, Tidal has gotten better.

Italian restaurant and Stevenson's library are excellent at hotel with good pool barfood.

Red Salt, Keoki's Paradise happy hour is excellent...Josselin's Tapas..Beach House for sunset drinks and apps.

Hamura Saimin in Lihue for saimin and lilikoi pie.
Happy Talk lounge in Princeville for early dinner and Tiki Iniki too.

Aloha

Jean Marie is very gifted in opening amazing restaurants. Unfortunately he is kind of cursed in keeping them open. Josselin's Tapa closed quite some tine ago. The space was recopied over a year ago.

We liked Olympic Cafe in Kapaa. Get a window table and watch the world go by below.

There is also an outpost of the Olympic Cafe in Poipu. I didn't't like their food - it seemed greasy to me, but many people love the place.

The Olympic in Kapaa has really good fish tacos. It's casual, not-fine dining.

Oh noooo!!!
Not the big Oly Cafe debate again.

Next thing you know someone will say Brick Oven pizza isn't very good. #-o

We still are big Oly fans. Great Bloody Marys...nice views (gets a bit noisy during the Kapaa Krawl), stick to the ribs breakfasts (especially the huge bowl of oatmeal with the BIG fresh fruit bowl-"splitable").

I also forgot about "Chicken in a Barrel". Grab some BBQ and head to the beach or back to your room. Located in Kapaa and now Hanalei.

Ditto Kauai Pasta.

This is a great restaurant not just for the saimin and pie but it seems like old school Kauai to me. It is a fun place to hang out (if you can find it)!

I'll watch this thread for any reviews of Ono Grill. I've read only one review soon after it opened and it was not complimentary. But it may have been due to opening pains.

We are off to Kauai on Sunday for a month-long stay!
