Where to eat near Holiday Inn Logan Airport
We're looking for somewhere to eat this Saturday evening.
Just the 2 of us but I don't really want to make reservations since I'm not sure what time we'll be leaving home. Probably eating 8/9ish.
Any suggestions of local restaurants, we like most foods.
Thanks in advance

The problem is that we spend a lot of time either collecting or depositing visitors at Logan and it's our preferred place to eat, would really like to try somewhere different.
I need to get DH in the vacation mood for Jamaica and I know we'll be eating a lot of seafood there

I agree - It's the only place we eat at the airport. I was there today but only dropping off so I had to skip the crab cakes
gyppielou - all you had to do was mention the words 'garlic' and 'pizza' will definitely check out Santarpio's
thanks

I'd suggest Jeveli's Restaurant in East Boston, should be easy to get to, just off Rt 1 at 387 Chelsea St and the phone number is (617) 567-9539.
It's a family owned Italian Restaurant and WELL known on the North Shore. Excellent food.

Okay - now here's a question that I can answer without hesitation.
You have four choices for excellent food near the Holiday Inn. First, for Asian the only choice is Billy Tse's in Revere.
Second for Italian - the best place is Rino's on Saratoga - its a tiny hole in the whole with the most wonderful pasta in the world. Beats any place in the North End. Have the fruitti da mari if its a special. I personally love the broccoli, fusilli and shrimp (its not on the menu but you can order it anyway.) The fusilli is homemade.
Third, for barbeque there's Uncle Pete's in Day Square. Another hole in the wall but the best barbeque in Boston - have the pulled pork.
Fourth, Kelly's Roast Beef on Revere Beach has great fried clam and seafood.
And for dessert try Luberto's on Broadway in Revere - their lobster tails are a wonder.
None of these places are more than 5 -10 minutes from your hotel but ask for directions from the hotel - its easy to get lost.

Thanks Bennie
Don't think we'll do Kellys - we've already tried the one in Natick and the 'hole in the wall' restaurants are generally the hidden gems.
A very nice choice of foods and we just have to see what we fancy when it comes time to eat.
As for getting lost in/around Boston, I'm gaining in confidence, we have a GPS device which successfully steered me through Boston on Monday during rush hour - my first try and I choose rush hour, Duh!
