Where to Eat in Boston this Weekend?

We spent a weekend last year in Boston and had some great meals (Butcher Shop, B&G Oysters, Hamersley's Bistro) and are looking for some more good food this time around. Not looking to spend a fortune, but some new, good ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I was in Boston in July where we had a perfectly wonderful meal at Legal Seafoods. Yummy. Great dinner and the best Boston Cream Pie of the whole trip (believe me, we did extensive research on "best pie" thing).

I ate at Legal Seafoods in Cambridge in April, and while I thought the lobster was good, not great (presumably the lobster's fault, not Legal's), they did make a spectacular "cranberry bog lemon martini".

I have to suggest Taranta Cucina Meridonale on Hanover. One of the better meals I have ever had.

Have you looked into Scampo at the Liberty Hotel?

You could try Neptune Oyster on Salem St. in the North End. Many people prefer it to B&G.

There are so many restaurants that it's hard to recommend one without knowing what you like and your budget.

For something a bit different, I like Lala Rokh on Mt. Vernon St. on Beacon Hill. Persian food, nice atmosphere, and not expensive. http://www.lalarokh.com/

Sel de la Terre (Prudential and near the Aquarium) is nice French bistro food, and La Voile (Newbury St.) is lovely and very French. http://www.seldelaterre.com/ http://www.lavoileboston.net/

Enjoy your weekend!
