Where to eat in Blythe

Driving from Phx area to Pasadena and will stop in Blythe for lunch. Any recommendations - just someplace with good food and a clean bathroom.

I can tell you not to eat at Towne's Square Cafe, which is listed in the AAA TourBook.

Using AAA as our guide, we stopped at this dump two or three years ago and had such a disgusting experience that I reported it to AAA. (The bathroom was foul, the food was rank.) AAA sent me a couple letters and thanked me for my interest, but this joint is still in the Southern California TourBook giving me the impression that somebody is getting a kick-back for the listing.

I would definitely go for one of the chain restaurants--Sizzler, for instance.

We ate at Sizzler. It actually was not too bad.

Thanks for the update.

When we passed through Blythe the AAA TourBook listed The Sizzler and the dump I mentioned on 8/11. I note that The Sizzler is not in the 2008 book, but the greasy spoon remains, testing my faith in AAA.

We go though Blythe at least twice a year and have always opted for Burger King - clean, fast and predictable - but in the middle of the heat and desert, that is a good thing.
