Where to celebrate anniversary in Vegas

My husband and I will be traveling to Vegas for the first time in June. We will be celebrating our second anniversary while there, and we are trying to weed through all the restarurant choices. We are looking for suggestions on a restaurant where we can eat on on our anniversary. We are looking for a romantic place where we can dress up.

You won't be lacking for choices in Vegas. Really depends on your budget and the food you enjoy.

In terms of overall service, food and ambiance, Le Cirque at Bellagio is hard to beat. But, you'll pay for that level. Picasso, also at Bellagio is good and usually highly rated. Personally, I opt for Le Cirque as I found the service at Picasso to be a bit off for a suppossed 5 star.

I've never been, but there is a restaurant at Paris in their Eiffel Tower replica. The view from there should be really nice.

For your anniversary, definitely stay at the BELLAGIO. It's the best .Mention it's your anniversary and request a room facing the fountain around (21st, 22nd, 23rd floor) should have a perfect view. I didn't care for any of the restaurants at Bellagio, highly overrated. The food DOES NOT justify the price.HOWEVER, the restaurant RENOIR was excellent and guaranteed to be a favorite and the price was well worth it. I'd rate it a 27 out of 30. The atmosphere is very intimate and perfect for your special occasion. Great wine selection to top it all off. ENJOY .

RENOIR is the place to celebrate your anniversary. EXCELLENT food and intimate atmosphere. Skip the Bellagio restaurants (LE Cirque, Picasso) overpriced and overrated.
HOwever, I love the Bellagio Hotel.
request a room on the 21st, 22nd or 23rd floor for a great view of the fountain. Very romantic .

I have to disagree that the restaurants at the Bellagio are overrated. We went to Prime for our 2nd anniversary, and it was perfect. We made our reservation about 2 months ahead of time and asked for a window overlooking the lake (also mentioning it was our anniversary). We got the table with no problems. Our waiter was awesome- one of the best we've had. He even brought us a dessert on the house that the chef had prepared- it said Happy Anniversary in chocolate.

Prime isn't cheap, but the food was excellent, and the ambience, table, etc. was perfect for an anniversary celebration. It was worth it!

callif - what kind of budget are you working on? Also, would you like to stay on the strip or are you open to eating in town? What kind of food do you like? These questions would help "weed out" some of the restaurants that don't fit what you're looking for.

I will also strongly disagree with the statement that "any of the restaurants at Bellagio are highly overrated".
Some of the best meals I've had in LV have been at the Bellagio restaurants.
One caveat: remember where you are. LV is not NYC, and LV is not the bargain that it once was 10 years ago.
The service in LV is not as consistent as it is in the better restaurants in NYC, and prices can be the same.
But LV also offers a lot of amenities you can't find in such a small area in NYC.

Hi calli
whenever we are in Las Vegas for my birthday or our anniversary (last November) we stay in the Bellagio and have that nights dinner at Circo.
This past year, we also managed to be there for Thanksgiving, so the whole week was spent eating in wonderful restaurants.
I also recommend Prime in the Bellagio. Elegant, quiet and great service, perfect food.
Circo will give you a treat if you mention it is your anniversary-at least they did for us.
Happy 2nd! Ours was our 100th

I second (or third) Circo. Had dinner at the one in the Bellagio this past weekend and found it every bit as good as the Circo in NYC. It's a beautiful, quiet room and the service was very good.

We stayed at the Four Seasons for our anniversary and ate at Renoir. Loved both. I liked the Four Seasons because I didn't have to walk through a casino everytime I was in the lobby. Renoir is lovely and romantic.

Last year Gourmet magazine's "Best of..." list named Circo the best place in LV for a nice meal (what they call a business meal).
I actually like Circo at Bellagio much more than Circo in New York (no views at the New York location, smaller space).

Our best meal is Vegas - Picasso. It was the 1st night of our honeymoon, so it was an equally romantic/special occasion for us too. We really enjoyed it. However, it is $$ - 2 glasses of champ., the tasting menu with wine pairings, tax & tip was close to $500.

Also, if you're curious about some of the top-ranked, the recent issue of Wine Spectator has a cover story on Las Vegas dining. Picasso was #1, and several of the other restaurants mentioned here were on the list.

Hey Scarlett, you sure get around for being a centenarian!
And I have to laugh about the $500 meal! Yikes - I thought that tab was bad for four of us at the Ocean Club, Bahamas. Really? $500 for 2???
Would that be the same at Renior or Circo?

For a little less pricey, but pricey nonetheless, try Onda in the Mirage. We loved it-it's Italian and we eat alot of Italian and are picky about it and we loved it- great waitstaff as well.

We celebrated our anniversary in December at Prime. It was wonderful. I highly recommend it.

My all time favorite restuarant experience was Delmonico's at the Venetian.
