Best Dinner in Las Vegas

Next month we're celebrating our tenth anniversary in Las Vegas. We've read TONS of restaurant reviews but would like to hear from real travelers where they've have a GREAT meal. Any detail about atmosphere, service, and cuisine is helpful. We're budgeting up to $150 for this spaecial evening. Thanks!!

I would like to hear reviews of the place right in front of the Bellagio. Looked great! Was it called Olives or something like that? Personally I had a young child with me and didn't find a good meal. : )

I ate at Olives this past December. I thought the food was fine but not very memorable. Would I eat there again? No. The food tasted just fine but it wasn't something I was in awe over except for the spectacular view near the window of the fountains. I preferred the Center Stage restaurant at the Plaza Hotel on Fremont St. Great view of the laser show, great ambiance, great food and no kids allowed!

Most of the restaurants at Bellagio are "right in front".
Olives is Italian, and an excellent choice because it's not stuffy (for those wishing to avoid such), food is very good, if you're fortunate and the weather allows you can dine on the veranda overlooking the water/fountains. It's not as expensive as some of the other Bellagio eateries, but it's not cheap either.
Circo is also a nice choice for great atmosphere, lake view, not too stuffy but still very nice.
My dinner at Picasso was good, but wasn't my style. I just don't enjoy the half dollar size portions of exotic foods flown in from wherever, priced at $80+ per person without drinks, which leave me hungry an hour after departing. Atmosphere is very elegant, but left me cold. A little dark and somber versus some of the other Bellagio restaurants I like better.
Also check the list of options at Mandalay Bay. A great assortment of fun restaurants with memorable atmosphere.

Olives at Bellagio was wonderful! Make a reservation, you'll probably need one. We sat outside so we could watch the fountains. Great restaurant! The Fois Gras appetizer was the best I ever had, all the food was really good. Enjoy!

There used to be a really good restaurant inside a bowling alley. Does anybody know the name of it? I know a lot of local celebrities dine there....Agassi, chuck Norris etc.

Nero's at Caesar's Palace is an excellent steakhouse. The food, service and ambience is great. Service is very professional - not chatty/friendly. Large tables and comfortable chairs (none of those really tiny tables for two on which you can barely fit your plates and glasses). I've had both the chilean sea bass and surf & turf there - both very good. I've also had a white chocolate cheesecake that is unbelievably creamy and excellent coffee (they use coffee presses). Entrees are in the 20s-30s, bottle of wine will run you about $30.

3950 in Mandalay Bay is also excellent. More modern setting than Nero's. Very cool atmosphere. Excellent service. Similar in price to Nero's. I've had several excellent meals there (very tasty veal chop my last time there in April). Amazing lobster bisque.

I think the best dinner in Las Vegas is Aqua. I had my birthday dinner there last Dec and the food and service were both top notch. Can you say lobster pot pie??? oh yeah!

I have also eaten at Picasso which I felt had service problems. They just were trying so hard to be a Michilan 3 star but they just weren't getting it.

Also I love Olives but I think it is a more casual place and although I feel the food is great it doesn't seem like a special anniverasary dinner type of place to me.

Have fun!

This past Saturday night, we had dinner at Alize in the Palms...spectacular! The restaurant is floor to ceiling windows, on the top floor of the hotel (56th floor?). Service was impeccable, food was delicious! Definitely a special place. Named to Conde Nast "Hot Table" list (best new restaurants), the only one in Vegas.
Incredible wine and champagne selection. Make sure you sample lots of appetizers!

At Bellagio, both Circo and Le Cirque are fantastic. Circo is the more casual of the two but more special occasions, Le Cirque is the best. Living in NYC where both restaurants originated, I have had many great meals at Circo and many special occasions at Le Cirque.
You will not be disappointed with either!!

I think I enjoy Olives more for lunch, especially if you can get a table on terrace. We have tried a few of the restaurants in Bellagio, my favorite is Circo, they do things right every time! I have also had my birthday there a few times and always get a little treat from them.
Problem is, I have no idea what the prices are, Picasso, Renoir and Le Cirque are expensive, Circo is probably up there too.
There is a restaurant in the Rio called Napa, wonderful food, amazing wine list, perfect service..again, I don't know how expensive.
Have a great time, Happy Anniversary! Just think, maybe you will win some money and you will spend much more on dinner every night!

I've been to Aqua 6 or 7 times, and each time it has been outstanding. I agree with the previous poster about Picasso -- I wouldn't go back. Have fun!

I really enjoyed Top of the World at the Stratosphere. Top of the Stratosphere, awesome view, restaurant rotates so your view changes - just spectacular. And, I felt the food and service were quite good as well. Standard but well prepared high-end restaurant food - steaks, rack of lamb, seafood, etc.

That would definitely be my first choice. Also good places that I have personally tried (actually, been to all of these multiple times) are Binion's Ranch Steakhouse downtown (good views, good steaks); Stefano's at the Golden Nugget (great Italian food in a classy, fun atmosphere with singing waiters); Blackstone's Steakhouse at Monte Carlo.

Aqua is one of our favorite places. It is in the Bellagio, just off of the Conservatory (great place for pics!). It is primarily seafood but they do offer other choices.

Picasso is amazing! We love it but you have to like that style of food. Very romantic and if you can get one of the tables on the window even better.

Make reservations for either of these places but it is much more difficult to acquire reservations at Picasso so call as far in advance as you can.

Stefano's at the Golden Nugget is my favorite restaurant in Vegas and we eat there every time we go (twice a year). It's really pretty and the food is good and the singing waiters are not at all "hookey". The established restaurants in Vegas are staffed by and large with a professional wait-corps - having lived overseas much of my life I've been fortunate enough to travel just about everywhere so I am no stranger to the huge difference between college students/actor wantabes and professional waiters. The latter is always to be preferred.....Have fun.

My husband and I just had dinner at Emeril's Delmonico's in the Venetian and would highly recommend it. The service was first class, the BBQ shrimp appt.was wonderful. We were there for my husband's birthday, they gave us a special appt and dessert on the house when I told them we were celebrating it. Their peach martini's were great! Total bill around 160.00. You will really need to make reservations as soon as possible if you want to go (you can always cancel later). I called in March for a Tues in May, and the only thing they had available was 6:00 or 10:00! The hostess said they book six months in advance.

My husband and I had a fantastic dinner at the Voodoo Cafe on the 51st floor of The Rio. Food was awesome and the service was great. Ask for a window table facing the strip. Very romantic!!! I had steak, lobster and shrimp and he had a filet. Total bill was $120.00 including 3 drinks.

Went to Vegas last month and had a very nice dinner at Buccaneer Bay in Treasure Island...saw the pirate show while having dinner and had our picture taken by the hotel photographer. Had the Seafood Shephards Pie and Steak dinners...both very good.
Wanted to try Red Square at Mandalay Bay, but ran out of time...looked very nice too...has anyone been there? Plan to try it on our next visit to Vegas.
