Where should we stop for lunch?
My husband and I will be driving from Seattle to Tsawwassen Ferry on 6/25 and would like suggestions on where to stop in northern Washington area not too far off I5. We like salads, sandwiches and sea food.

We always stop in Bellingham for lunch when driving up or back from BC. There is a great pizza place called La Fiamma. It's right by the Boundry Bay Brewery. These are "gourmet" wood fire pizza's. Super yummy! They also have salads and sandwiches I think.

Much of the near I-5 stuff is chains. Here are some suggestions not too far afield:
Anthony's at the Bellingham waterfront.
The Oyster Bar on chuckanut drive (pretty far off I-5 but a stunningly beautiful alternate route, follow highway 11 off I-5 at Burlington, which runs right into Bellingham a few miles west of I-5, great San Juan Island views). See http://www.theoysterbaronchuckanutdrive.com/
Also I like Mykonos Greek Restaurant, right off I-5 at Bellingham airport exit.
