North Carolina.
And, then they buy a house there and live there half the year.

Heh heh. Unless you want to see more Florida, you need to fly somewhere! Like Europe.

Yep. That's it. That's the definitive list. THOSE are the places folks from Florida go on vacation.

What state is next? Kansas?

Well, during the years my mother lived in Florida, some of her vacations included California, New Mexico, Texas, Canada, Italy, Hawaii......

seriously, what in the world would make you think Florida residents never leave the state- or the country- for vacations???? Do you worry that residents of other states never go elsewhere?

gee starrs, I think even they get to sneak out once in awhile, don't you? I know up here in Massachusetts, I find a way, at least a few times a year, to escape the state.....and I haven't been reprimanded yet .....oh, one of those vacations was to Florida and it was SO crowded b/c I think all the Florida residents were there....

I asked the same question, repeatedly, when I lived in San Diego in the mid '70's.
Way better here/now!

The Canadian Rockies, the southwest, New York City, San Francisco, Europe, Canada, Asia, South & Central America...I do not associate a beach or sunny weather with a vacation, I associate it with where I grew up.
