Where could you travel to on a yearly basis?

I live at the beach - Sarasota, Florida, so that's not really a consideration for vacation - Mexico excepted. London is one of my favorite places - been there 4 times and am always ready to go again. Love Vegas to get away from reality for awhile. I like a mixture of new places and familiar places.

I have several favorites (in no particular order):
Alaska / Catalina Island / San Diego / Oregon or Washington / Ft. Bragg, Ca or Eureka, Ca. / British Columbia
I have not been there yet (going next summer!) but I would probably include England / Scotland / Wales & Ireland.

Anywhere but the US. We love PARIS or anywhere in Europe! It's actually less to travel in Europe than the US. Although we do go to Salt Lake City or Lake Tahoe or Denver for skiing and Florida (Bal Harbor, Miami, or Ft Lauderdale) for beaches. The Westin Diplomat Spa & Resort is a 5 Diamond Resort right on the beach in Florida for only $75/night. Check internet rates or AAA rates. Good luck!

We've gone almost yearly to New Orleans for the past 6 years. We spend about 5 days in the quarter (staying on a quiet street - hate Boubon St.), then explore either the Cajun route (on to Lafayette et al) or to Baton Rouge (with stops along the way, like in St. Francisville - plantations, etc.).
A second choice in the states is southern Arizona.
If we could, we'd go annually to Italy - our absolute favorite.

SOUTH AFRICA!!! I love South Africa and it is the only place I have been to yet that I would consider living. Cape Town is an incredible city that is like a more beautiful and far less expensive Los Angeles. Only drawback is the distance and the expense in getting there, but once you are there, everything is 1/3 the price of the United States. Cape Town has beaches, nightlife, beautiful Table Bay Mountain surrounding the city, great weather and very friendly people.
I would like to return to South Africa next year but don't know if my finances will allow it yet. For the time being, I will be going to Chile in a couple days for their own magnificent landscape, including the most arid desert in the world--the Atacama Desert at an elevation of 8,000' with surrounding mountains and active volcanoes shooting up an additional 10,000' (total elevation 18,000'+) to the beaches of Vina Del Mar, the historical capital, Santiago, and what is said to be one of the most beautiful places in the world, Patagonia (Torres Del Paine National Park area of Patagonia). Chile is the most economically viable country in South America with the highest educated people as well as spectacul landscapes.
