Where could you travel to on a yearly basis?

Just wondered, if anyone has a special/favorite place they could vacation at each year and never be bored going to that place.

The Keys! Just to get away from it all once a year.

Every other year we do vacation in a repeat place - New York - and very rarely do we repeat activities. That's the appeal of NYC - everything from baseball to tennis and shopping and museums; and then there's the whole experience of subways and taxis!
We also incorporate some other area of NY and have driven to Niagara Falls, the lakes of the Adirondacks, Long Island and the small towns like Nyack.
That rental car sure is glad to see us go home!

Been to New Orleans for 11 years in a row and always find new things to do. Great city with wonderful restaurants. Keys and New York are great ideas too and I could see why people go back.

I live in San Diego, but go to Palm Springs for a weekend in March/April for a 'summer is almost here' boost. Three yrs now.

Except for the jetlag factor (am from Seattle)--Europe. Would go to a different part of either Spain, Italy, or France each year, and possibly Prague (which is one of the few places I haven't been yet that I want to go to someday.)

Check out the Disney Boards for the answer to this question. Some of those people live for yearly treks to Disney.

South Florida (Ft. Lauderdale area). I love the sunshine, palm trees, beaches, easygoing lifestyle.

New Orleans and the Florida panhandle, especially Perdido Key, never get old.

Washington's Olympic Penninsula, The Northern California Coast from Point Reyes to Acadia, Charleston, the North Georgia Mountains, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the Georgia Coast especially Jekyll and St. Simons.

Sanibel Island, Florida. My sister in law has a condo there and she invites us to go with her every year during Easter vacation. It's a wonderful break from a long winter in Buffalo. We look forward to it every year. There are many other places we would like to visit (and we will), but it's a comfort to know we have a quick, affordable family getaway every year.

Viva Las Vegas!!! Been going the past 4yrs in a row. I'm hooked!!!

We go to Nantucket every summer. I'd go more if I could. And Bermuda, we only get there every 3 years or so, but if I could afford it, it would definitely be a yearly destination.

Pam Nov 23rd, 2002 08:10 PM

Maine..the coast from south to North.

Lucy Nov 23rd, 2002 09:24 PM

Las Vegas. At least two to three times a year. Just weekend getaways.

Cindy Nov 24th, 2002 03:32 AM

The Keys and New Orleans.

Seems a running theme here is Beach Vacations. If you're looking for R&R, the "place" doesn't matter as much as the warm sun and sound of surf. A close second here is the City Vacation, with endless options for exploration.
