Where can I get a "Heavenly bed"?

It's time to buy a new mattress. Has anyone slept on those "heavenly beds" at Starwood Hotels? They are soooo comfortable. It would be great if I knew what brand/model the mattresses are so I could do some comparison shopping and order one. Has anyone done this? Checked Starwood's website and it just says "custom designed mattresses". Now I know you must be able to get them somewhere. Can anyone help?

Nina, try calling the corporate office. I am sure it is not the first time they have been asked for te info.

Nina,
You're right. The beds at the W hotels are really comfortable.

The online catalog is actually at the W hotels website:

I have a friend who bought all the bedding and pillows (not the actual mattress) and ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT!

Thanks everyone. I actually found the online catalog by calling Starwood as xxx suggested. They sell the mattress directly, but won't give out the model as they want you to buy from them. I did get the specs and it's a Simmons no-flip beautyrest with pillowtop and 825 coils (for a queen). This gives me enough info to go shopping. They want $ 1100 plus shipping ($170), so it will be interesting to see if I can beat that price through a Simmons dealer. I'm off to the stores!

Are these the same beds used in the Westin?

PLEASE let us know what you find out.
I've been looking into the same thing and wonder whether you can get the same bed (at a better price) thru Simmons.
Thanks...

Gayle, I'm back from mattress shopping. Yes, you can get the Simmons beautyrest "world class" pillowtop, no flip with 825 coils (for a queen) for less! I compared and got the best price from 1-800 mattress. There is a store in the next town so I even tried it out and it's very bit as comfy. The salesman gave me a price of $ 905 delivered, set-up and to take away my old bed.

Yes, these are the same beds used in Westins, W's and certain Sheratons!

Interesting sidenote: The bed at the Kahala Mandarin Oriental on Oahu was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on in a hotel. It wasn't a "Heavenly Bed," but I was told it was a Simmons Beautyrest -- for what it's worth!

Great thread. The Bellagio always has a great feel to their mattress. I will strip down the bed when we go in a few weeks and see what kind of mattress they provide.
