Where can I find a clear plastic umbrella?

Much as I like my mini-mini-collapsable umbrellas for travel, I have seen clear plastic umbrellas that seem a really good idea for walking in cities with a lot of rain and crowds. But I have no idea where to buy one -- anyone seen them for sale somewhere?

Cass,

The answer to this and all similar questions can be summed up in 4 short letters:

eBay

Try the Vermont Country Store -- they have a website, but I seem to remember seeing this in their catalogue.

placeu2 -- I have used eBay and am not one of its fans, partly because of entanglements with PayPal, partly because of the uncertainty of quality and the hassle of exchanging info., shipping, etc. I consider it last resort, and mainly for collectibles, etc. where things might not be available in common commercial venues.

My question was whether anyone had actually seen these things for sale, and apparently soccr has. Thanks!

I typed CLEAR UMBRELLA into Froogle (it's a handy button on the GOOGLE site), and got a number of hits, including this:

Most of them seem to be "pet" umbrellas!

Vermont Country Store does have it:

http://www.vermontcountrystore.com/p...dGroupID=27956

This DOES seem like a good idea! In addition to seeing better, the "points" go down rather then out, which seems like a big plus in cities.

Gee, thanks Cassandra, another thing I "need"...
