Not in Boston, they closed and thatwonderful teddy bear made of Branze or ? that stood in front of the shop where kiddies climbed and were photographed has been donated to a local institution. Not sure but I think maybe Children's Hospital.

Their web site says that IT will be updated in early October and that the NYC and Las Vegas stores will be reopening -- but it has said that for a long time.

The other stores are history. Boston's giant teddy was donated to the children's hospital known as the Floating Hospital because it originally was on a ship.

When my son and DH went to NYC to attend an auction at Sotheby's a few years ago they returned with lots of goodies from FAO! I was sad to see them close. I hope the one in NYC will re-open. The NYC Monopoly game from there is still a favorite around our house when we all have time to sit down and unwind for awhile. ***kim***

The sign outside the NY location says it will reopen by November. I walked by 10 dyas ago and the interior looks like it has barely been touched as the walls are bare and few workers were around. Somehow, I doubt they'll be open by November. I might suggest that December 25th looks like a long shot.
