I forgot to add....moldy...we have some property just a tad south of you which we hardly see these days. You mind checkin' if "they's any squatters there?" It wouldn't be the first time.

I only figured we might be from the same area because of both our references to the Kemah Boardwalk.

moldy - I'm in Austin, and I'm interested in the Nutcracker market you mentioned. Where is it? Thanks!

I think you may have misunderstood regarding the location of the Nutcracker Market. The Nutcracker Market is Houston Ballet's yearly fundraiser with massive amounts of great shopping! It will be at Reliant Center.

Regarding Kemah, I'm not one to sit around the house on a pretty day even if it is an hour away! I've already got a trip down there this weekend in the works. The weather is just TOOOOO great to not take advantage of it!

Kopp - Here is a link to get you started. Definitely budget 4 or more hours to put a dent into the stores. If my feet (and budget) could hold up, I could spend 12 hours there! Be sure to wear comfy walking shoes.

Just had dinner at Bravo in Indy. Not exactly Italy but I'm never disappointed with the filet mignon.
Split a bottle of Santa Ema Merlot from Chile with DH while he told me of his stay at the Willard last night in DC. Apparently Charles and Camilla were also guests.

I'm headed to Fountain Hills, AZ with my family at Thanksgiving. Can't wait for them to see all I've done to the condo since June.

We had an absolutely beautiful 71 degree, sun-filled day here in Indy. If every day was so nice I wouldn't pine for AZ and CO so much!

Thanks moldy. I might just get a group of gals together and head over to Houston that weekend. Sounds fun.

We have a similar event here in Austin, put on by the Junior League. Major time shopping.

Thanks!

Had a beautiful glass of Merlot with a wonderful big bowl of mussells and claims in a tomato/wine garlic based broth and too much bread (yummy bread) at the wonderful new Italian restaurant in my town.

Trip to Portland OR postponed until after the holidays. Trip to Europe not even worked on yet. To busy dealing with a great contractor who is going to be doing all kinds of needed work on a house I own. Guess after I pay him he will be the one taking the next great trip, LOL

Nice thread idea! White Veneto Soave with Italian dinner, followed by Grappa.

Next major trip, not counting business hops here and there, is Helsinki/St. Petersburg, don't know what the poisons will be (although I have an idea...).

Salut'

WK
