What's your favorite Disney Restuarant

Although we'll have the kids, we like good food and were thinking of someplace with an interesting menu. Probably not the highest end places... but somewhere above the typical chain sit-down restaurant food.

Could you give more information please to assist you? Are you talking about the Magic Kingdom only or also EPCOT or other parks?

You don't mention the ages of your children. Two of our favorites are the Flying Fish and Spoodles. Both are on Disney's Boardwalk. For a great romantic dinner without the kids, try Palio at the Swan.

Go to allearsnet.com and you will find the menu's for every restaurant ad WDW. Just so you there are dozens of eateries inside the parks and out. The best place for a good variety is Epcot. They have restaurants at most of the countries with local cuisine. If you eat late lunch 2-3 PM, you can get the same food much cheaper. My favorites are Akershus (Norway), Les Chefs du France (France), and Le Cellier (Canada). This is just a small sample of the different eateries, you will find everything from cheap casual(counter service) to very expensive elegant dining (Victoria & Alberts). Enjoy

If you are in Epcot, the Moroccan Restaurant (name?) is different and interesting for all, with menu choices that allow adults to choose something other than a hot dog, and kids to get familiar-looking rice with grilled meats. There is a range. And a floor show to entertain--impressive decor. This was a winner with our whole family.

A fun place for kids and adults with good food is the Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge. Our six year old enjoyed both breakfast and dinner. Enjoy!

Check out the IHOP in the Animal Kingdom. The pancakes are to die for!

I second the recommendation of the Moroccan restaurant in Epcot. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it (and he is a picky, plain-food eater). For dessert, head over to France and enjoy something from the bakery/cafe..mmmm....napoleons!

IN MGM Disney
- Sci-fi Drive Inn
- 50's Prime Time Cafe - both fun, themed sitdown restaurants.
- ABC Commisary - counter service with great fish and chips!

Magic Kingdom: Harbour House counter service for amazing chowder in a bowl.

As a bona fide Disney Fanatic and serious traveler....my opinion is BOMA. Not to be missed. The food and service is excellent. Get a priority reservation though. Also, Akershaus in Norway USED to be good. Haven't been in 3 years.

Thanks for all the great thoughts. Our kids are 11 and 13 so many of the choices you mention would be great for our family. We are going to WDW in late September from Wed thru Sun.

If you're talking Disney World, we liked the Disney hotel restaurants, like at The Floridian. Can't remember the name of the Disney Hawaiian-theme hotel, but it had a very nice all-you-can eat meal. Breakfast at The Contemporary had Disney characters, if your kids aren't too old for that, and a nice breakfast buffet.

The Morroccan restaurant is Marrakesh (spelling?). I also recommend it - a very neat atmosphere, belly dancers, and very authentic food.
