FS on the big island is by far the best resort I've been to. It is a large resort that never feels crowded and there are plenty of nooks and crannies to catch some privacy on the beach, near the pool or at a restaurant. The rooms are large and are elegantly understated with high quality finishings, linens throughout. -We're returning for a 2nd visit in July and plan to return again and again. Beware, once you've been, you'll never be satisfied with any other property.

Does anyone know how to get any kind of discount at FS?

Try the entertainment book for discounts at the FS.

Oh come on now....I can't believe the Four Seasons would ever participate in the Entertainment book discount program.
I think someone's way off base with that idea.

If you want the tops in service, amenities and food, The Four Seasons Resort would be the choice. Most romantic would be a second floor room with a lanai facing the ocean. Cheaper are the first floor rooms with the outdoor showers. Another plus is the adults-only pool. The resort lacks a good beach however. If you want that, try the Hapuna Beach Prince or the Mauna Kea Beach. If you stay at either you get reciprocal privileges at the other resort.
