The best using fresh ingredients is Seasons 52.

I LOVE cafe tu tu tango in Orlando. It's an artsy little place with a unique serving style. Fun and chic!

CAFÉ TU TU TANGO is located at 8625 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819

Orlando covers a huge area. What location, price range, type of food, type of ambience????? We have fabulous restaurants in my area, north Orlando.

Asssuming this is not a rhetorical question, I would refer you to the Orlando Sentinel's 2006 Foodie Awards <http://tinyurl.com/2szj78>. The awards in each category are determined separately by readers and by restaurant critic, Scott Joseph. It is as good a guide as any.

In my personal opinion, I would also go with Seasons 52!

Also consider Columbia restaurant in Celebration. Fine Cuban food, pleasant atmosphere.

We don't usually eat "fancy." Seasons 52 was EXCELLENT. So take that as a "non-foodie" opinion.

I like almost all mentioned on this thread. Seasons 52 just can't be beat. Cafe Tu Tu Tango is just a lot of fun. Great tapas and drinks. Columbia's is good - try their paella and white sangria. My favorite little family owned restaurant used to be the Thai off International - but someone told me it has closed. I love the Mama's Italian restaurant in Portofino (GREAT mussels). Honestly, 80% of the time for business travel in Orlando I ate at one or combinations of these restaurants on every visit for several years.

Can't believe I'm saying this because I hate Disney, but Boma, the all you can eat buffet in the Animal Kingdom is amazing.

And Im sure its not the best, thebestpuppeteer, but Ive always liked the mexican place in Epcot. The ambiance is neat (low lighting, watching the boats go by).

Have a great trip!!

I place my bid for Seasons 52 also. Was in the area for a week, attending a horseshow last March. Ate their almost every night. LOVE the bar too.

I like Seasons 52 as well. But if you are not watching calories, I vote for Doc's in downtown Orlando.

All of the suggestions are good, although Columbia is a chain that can be iffy at times. If you want excellent Mexican food, go to Taquitos Jaliscos on Hiawassee Road in Metro West. If you like steak and want to taste German-style rumpsteak (which is out of this world), drive due west 10 miles from downtown Orlando to Maguire Road in Ocoee. There is a Publix shopping center on the Ocoee/Windermere line and Matt's Steaks and More will serve you a steak that's uniquely delicious.

The link OrlandoVic posted ... Orlando Sentinel's 2006 Foodie Awards <http://tinyurl.com/2szj78> ... should be bookmarked by anyone traveling to Orlando once or often. Thanks, Vic!
