What's the best hotel to stay at within walking distance of the Alamodome in San Antonio Texas?
Hello, I'm thinking of using Priceline for choosing an area that will be close to the Alamodome in San Antonio Texas. I'm also interested in just securing a room close by without using priceline. Can you please help me with suggestions? Thankyou.

Tha Alamodome is not far from most of the downtown hotels. Closest are the Marriott Riverwalk and Rivercenter. The Hilton Palacio del Rio, Marriott Plaza San Antonio or Fairmount are also fairly close. There is also a La Quinta next to Rivercenter that is cheaper. I've stayed at the Marriot(s) on the Riverwalk a few times and they are great! (There are two Marriots--right across the street from each other). Walking distance to the Alamodome & Riverwalk. Nice rooms & service. We usually paid around $100/night.

Thanks, for your replies and I too, got the Marriott Riverwalk for $60.00. I thought we would be walking to the Alamodome but, then was told that we need to go the SBC Center instead. I don't think I'll be walking there from the Marriott so, I guess I'll have to take a cab.
