What's early spring like in AZ?

I am considering the Phoenix/Scottsdale area for a week-long trip the last week of March '04. Many of the resorts boasts pools and outdoor activities. Can someone give me an idea of what the weather is like in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area in Early Spring (later March/early April)?

I was there first wek of April last year. It was perfect. Warm days by the pool, light jacket or long sleeves at night. Not too hot, not too cool, fine in a swimsuit during the day.

EMD's description is a good one. Avg daily high at the time you specified is 79-80 and night low averages 52-53.
April is one of the two best months of the year in PHX IMO.

We spent a week in Tucson in late March several years ago - had high winds, mid 50's and SNOW in Nogales. However, there was enough to keep busy - but we had at most a couple of hours when it was warm enough to be in or by a pool. Afer hearing the locals tell us that this was very unusual weather, I'd had it!
