What to wear?

I am going clubbing in NYC next weekend (April 28 or 29) with my fiance and his sister and her boyfriend. They've all lived in NYC before and are saying I should wear black pants...But his sister dresses kind of old woman, so I don't know. Where I live it's okay to wear nice jeans, a sexy top and high heels - and accessorize!!

BOTTOM LINE - What is appropriate NYC CLUBBING attire ?

Sorry - I can't offer much advice about what to wear, but I think you might want to consider re-posting with a title like "What is appropriate NYC Clubbing Attire" and you might want to include the names of the clubs that you want to get into.

Have a great time in NYC!

Depends on the club.

If you want a really trendy place where you have to line up and hope to get in to see some celebs on the way to the VIP room - how you dress is VERY important. Jeans are OK (but really great black pants are never wrong) if they're very expensive and the right label, the shoes should be Manolos, and the top from a good designer label. If you go very early - like 11pm you'll have a better chance to get in.

If you're going to a more casuale club - imitations of the above would do.

If you're young and cute, you can wear whatever you want! Jeans, cute top, and heels are perfectly fine. Definitely go early, and you'll have a better shot at getting in.

Jeans will be perfect as long as you wear them with high heels and a cute flirty top and blazer. By blazer I mean one of the new short fitted styles.

If you are trying to get into the hottest clubs, you need to look hot or plan on spending the night in line.

i don't know if that's enough to go with jeans or not ?

Just make the "crowd" wave and you're sure to get in anywhere!

Agree with another post that the barer the better - but quality/expense counts too for the hottest clubs.

(Yes - I know the Olsen twins get in wearing plastic flipflops and an extra large baggie - but only because the paparazzi follow them.)
