What to do this Sunday
I will be in New York from Saturday afternoon until Wednesday morning for my daughter's 21st birthday. We are going to Hairspray Saturday night and Mama Mia Sunday night. She wants to see the tree at Rockefeller Center, see plays, SHOP, maybe see a museum exhibit and eat at some interesting and good places. We are staying at the Affinia 50. What should we do Sunday? It is going to be rain/snow showers and obviously very crowded. What is the best thing for us to do? Any suggestions?
Thanks

I would be heading for a museum - there will be fewer locals than usual since they'll be shopping -which you can do during the week.
The Met has the most choice - but if you like modern art you might go to MoMA - or even to Natural History - which has several IMAX movies as well as great exhibits (I LOVE gems and minerals).

Don't know about NYC, but in Boston everyone is talking about the possibility of a foot of snow on Sunday !
Google mags like Time Out New York and NYTimes and see if anything catches your eye -
Either way, if the weather is lousy - you'll want to have inside options (aside from a wonderful walk in the snow in Central Park and just even down the streets)
Once, we were in the city during a storm and we could walk down the streets - I have photos of barely a car in sight on the streets of NY, which doesn't happen much - but it sure was fun !
You can always shop - and in NYC you could do that for a month straight and never hit all the stores -
or one of the many museums - the MET, MOMA, Museum of Natural History, Frick, the list is endless ! Maybe start checking who is open and what hours on Sunday and add a great brunch to it first -
check out maybe on Zagats list the restaurants that have fireplaces too.....a nice touch in lousy weather.
