What to do Sunday in Tampa

We've got a busy five day trip to Tampa/Clearwater planned for next week. I'm looking for a Tampa area activity for Sunday morning. We will be staying at an airport hotel and flying out at 1 p.m. so we don't have alot of time Sunday, but on the other hand don't want to waste a good morning. What ideas do you have. PS Anyone stay at the Springhill Suites, Tampa Airport?

How about mass at the Cathedral of St Jude in St. Pete? I would consider that the perfect Sunday morning activity no matter where I am in the world.

Mass times can be found at www.masstimes.org

Are you at all interested in the Bodies exhibit at the MOSI?

The museum opens at 9am on Sundays.

There are terrific water-side brunches at The Castaways and Oyster Catchers, both of which are 5-minutes from the airport on Tampa bay. But you have enough time to make a trip to the Gulf beaches and back. Does that interest you? You could have a mediocre inexpensive breakfast at Caddy's on Treasure Island, then sit and enjoy the million dollar view, the lounge chairs, the beach, the drinks.

There are likely many things going on for Memorial Day weekend. Check the St. Petersburg Times or Tampa Tribune.

I forget to say I will have DH and two kids in tow so the science museum is a great idea. After looking at the website it looks like it has a reciprocal agreement with my local science museum so I'll bring our membership cards and give it a try. I wouldn't have thought to bring my membership cards without your recommendation. Thanks.

What incredible weather in Tampa right now! Cool and no humidity. It's the prettiest May weather I can remember. Party at Pier 5...bring foam brushes and 220 grit sandpaper.

Thanks for a good tip. My kids will be talking about the bodies exhibit for a long time. We even had time for an Imax movie. The museum took our membership cards from Fort Discovery which saved nearly $100.
