You should invest in the Blue Book; go to Wizardpub.com. Very detailed info on beaches, places to stay, eat, and see. Best guide I've seen.

I'm sorry TMan, but I must disagree. Although it is widely known that I am not a fan of the blue books, I had access to one while on the BI last year and found everything about the book to confusing. Especially the maps, which were of little help and often a detriment.

What I did find is that public maps, free maps and lots of great county signage everywhere on island to beach access and public access are more helpful.

I have read the blue books for Kauai and Maui, and although I cannot recommend them personally, I do think they are much more helpful then the BI book.
