We are planning a whirlwind trip through part of Colorado in June and would like some advice. We are spending a couple of nights in Colorado Springs and then want to either stay in Estes Park or ??? And end up in Georgetown??? I have been to Estes Park once and loved it but very pricey!!! Would it be better for us to stay at Grand Lake and go to Estes Park for day??? I am open to suggestions. We have 2 nights to spend near RMNP and 2 in Breckinridge or Georgetown or??? I am open to suggestions!!! My husband has never been to Colorado so I am trying to hit the high points!!!

Bradysweetheart65, please start your own thread instead of adding to one that is 5 years old.
Ride the Amtrak California Zephyr from Denver west to either Glenwood Springs or Grand Junction.
It is much nicer riding the train through Glenwood Canyon than trying to drive through it on I-70.
There is a good bus service between Glenwood Springs and Aspen (42 miles).

Tom's suggestion for everything is the train. And sometimes it is the best. When you post your own question I will have some other suggestions for you. If it will be helpful if you spend a few minutes understanding the structure of this site.
