What month to Maui?
I know the weather is not that different summer vs. winter on Maui, but please help me decide when to go! July or November? It is with two kids and we want fun in the sun, but I just can't make a decision. HELP? Thank you!

July will be hotter and more humid. The water may be cooler in November. But, prices are generally cheaper in November, if it isn't Thanksgiving week. I'd say November, but if you have to return to a cold climate with shortening days, you may feel like you are paying the price all winter long.

I like my Hawaiian vacations hot, hot, hot, and the water warm, so I'd go in July. Hot and humid in Hawaii during the summer is nothing like hot and humid in the summer in the Caribbean or the southern U.S. It is much milder.

We took our family Thanksgiving week a few years ago. It was very quiet and uncrowded. I believe prices for accommodations start to rise in December.
One large attraction: November is the beginning of the humpback whale season-long over by July. Our children loved our whale watching/snorkel excursion with Pacific Whale Foundation.
