Why are some people so snooty? LOL means Laughing Out Loud.

I propose a new one: FOJA -- "Flip" Off, JackAss.

Newbie: LOL -- Laughing Out Loud (usually no one is actually laughing out loud, but it's a term of appreciation for humor or a sarcastic comment on something someone thinks is stupid).

ROFLMAO -- Rolling On The Floor, Laughing My Ass Off. (Again, never really happens but an intensified version of LOL.)

IMHO -- In My Humble Opinion. (The opinion is rarely humble.)

DH or SO -- Dear Husband or Significant Other. (Spares us from POOSSLQ -- Person Of Opposite Sex Sharing Living Quarters or variations on "lover" or "hubby-poo"!)

WTF -- What The "Flip"? (expressing stunned disbelief or confusion)

BRB -- Be Right Back (or onomatopoeic indication of eructation)

H&K, L&K, LAK, HAK, XOXOXOXOX -- various indications of love and kisses or hugs and kisses (only for those with insulin under control).
