What do you think of Caesar's Palace?

I am going to Vegas in 2 weeks, and with the falling hotel prices, am thinking of changing my reservation from the Luxor to Caesar's Palace. What is everyone's opinion of Caesar's?

If you can afford it, stay at Ceaser's!! It's location is great and the casino, sportsbook and shopping is better than the Luxor!

I've stayed at both and prefer Ceasars. The Luxor is just too big and spread out.

If you are pricing the cheapest room in the hotel, keep in mind that Caesar's is an old hotel. You will probably get a very dated room. I think you would be better off at the Paris, Monte Carlo, Mirage or Aladdin. Mandalay Bay, Bellagio and Venetian are great, but probably more than you want to spend.

The cheap room you'll get at Caesar's will be worse than the room at Luxor.
But Caesar's has more going for it with regard to location, casino, shopping, food.
BTW, CP is much bigger than Luxor (for whomever said Luxor was too big).

I agree -- the older rooms at Caesar's, which is what you would get for the cheap rate, aren't as nice as Luxor's. Then again, as others have said, the location is a lot better.

You might want to check with Monte Carlo -- it's one of the nicest hotels on the Strip IMHO, and frequently runs great specials.

Others on this board have also reported very low summer specials at the Venetian. That's definitely something worth investigating.

I would go for Caesar's HANDS DOWN. Try requesting a newer tower room...and if they don't let you do that at the time of reservation, ask the front desk when you check in.

The pool is nice at Caesars too. The Venetian rooms are nice, but the pool is in the shade a lot (which, if you're going in two weeks, may not be such a bad thing...hot hot hot!)
