What can we expect flying with Delta?

Hi I've never flown a trans-Atlantic flight and was wondering what we can expect with Delta?
Do there planes have the TV's in the headrests or a few big ones up front? Does it vary from plane to plane?
Do we get complimentry drinks?
Maybe a stupid question, but thought i'd ask.

Where are you flying from/to? I think you may have different styles of planes depending on your trips.

We took Delta from Las Vegas to New York to Venice round trip. We had big screens up front only on all 4 flights, so viewing was limited to what everyone was seeing. During the overnight flight to Europe, the screen was dark for a long time - bad for those who can't sleep (me).

Non-alcoholic drinks were complimentary throughout the flights, but you had to pay for the alcoholic ones. The FA's were good about giving you water when you asked and I ended up back in the galley a few times for a cup.

You might try posting this on the Airlines board - they're full of useful information, especially when it comes to what's on the planes.

Almoo, will you be wearing the cowboy hat? If so you may need to tip the pilot.

Also, no nekkid dancin' on the plane.

Delta sucks for flying international. Expect to be disappointed. No free booze, I've never had a TV in the headrest, meal service is mediocre at best. I once had the privelage of flying the old Swiss Air and it was awesome, even in coach. Must be great to be subsidized...

DL's 777s have individual monitors. 767s (which are the majority of planes for trans-Atlantic) don't.
