Used Delta to Honolulu
Have used both Aloha and Hawaiian from Honolulu to Kauai.

ICU, did you have to book two separate flights. Looks like Delta doesn't fly to Kauai. bummer

I'll use skymiles to HNL and then get a separate flight to Kauai? Is that what you did?

CO doen't fly to Lihue, Kauai (LIH) anymore. It's via HNL, and then codeshare on Hawaiian.

UA flies non-stop from LAX and SFO, using 757-200.

AA flies non-stop from LAX, also using 757-200.

I'm flying out tomorrow morning direct from LAX-LIH on ATA. I'll post my experiences when I return.

Some Frequent Flyer programs will award an interisland r/t for 10K miles, others include it.
Example, American requires 35K miles to Maui, Kaui, Oahu etc. Continental requires 35K to the island(s) they service, anything else requires 35K to HNL then another 10K to get to Kauai, Maui etc.

Be sure to check pandaonline.com for interisland flights, we saved $100 vs. booking direct with Hawaiian Airlines.

I would be flying out of ATL. Unfortunately, there will be no direct flights to Kauai.

Just started thinking about a trip and started researching and realized Delta does not fly to Lihue #39;(
