What a 2 1/2 yr old enjoy at Epcot? If anything?
We are spending 5 days at WDW with our 2 1/2 yr old son. I plan on 1 day at Epcot, but am not sure what he will enjoy there. Any idea on travel times from the Polynesian to the different parks? Thank you

If he doesn't mind the dark, he might like the re-vamped Energy pavillion with the dinosaurs - but the dinos are just a small part of the fairly long movie.
If he doesn't mind loud music, he'd LOVE Kitchen Caberet (although I think it has a new name) in the Food Pavillion.
If you don't mind him getting wet, check out the playful fountains outside Imagination. There are some fun things inside, as well (such as the tunnel of light), but the re-vamped ride is awful.
Other than that - hang out by the fish tanks in the Living Seas.

Try the 3D show, I think it is "Honey I Shrunk the Kids". My 1 1/2 yr old saw the muppet one at MGM studios and actually kept his glasses on and enjoyed the show. Do not take the little one into the 3d show at Animal Kingdom though - very loud and scary for toddlers.

Epcot's Honey I Shrunk the Audience is very scary what with giant snakes hissing out at you and mice running over your feet. The audience gets to shrieking and it would definitely freak out most toddlers!
I agree, though, the Muppet Show at MGM is adorable.

Your son would enjoy some of the special entertainers and storytellers outside the national pavilions around the world showcase. For a schedule, check when you get to the park or go to wdwig.com and look for the Epcot attractions section. Our last trip we caught the candy makers demonstration outside the Japanese pavilion. She made amazing animals out of candy and gave one to each of my girls. Be sure to take an inexpensive, light folding umbrella stroller for when he is tired. It will save quite a bit of money. have fun!

I'll second the fountains that kids can run through and play in. The spouts are built right into the ground and it's fun for kids to try to guess where the water will come from next. There are also lots of characters in the World Showcase area. Some of them aren't your typical Disney characters (the troll that hangs out in the Norway pavillion, St. Nicholas who can be found in Germany near Christmas time), and the ones that are Disney characters are dressed in costume for a particular country.
There's always something new happening in World Showcase. They had finger painting for kids set up in France area when we were there once. We could go back later after their masterpieces had dried to pick them up. There are musical or comedy acts scheduled to play throughout the day, some of them making good use of audience participation.
Please don't take your son to Honey I Shrunk the Audience. I can still remember carrying my own son out while trying to find an exit in the dark - not an easy thing with the ground shaking and the special effects going full tilt. It's a very intense, LOUD show, and you never know how your kids will take it. It may be fun for some, but the 3D Effects make the whole thing that much more terrifying.

I have gone to WDW with very young children (8 mo old), four boys altogether. We always went to Epcot first. At that age they enjoy the atmosphere, the visual stimulation, etc. If a film was too intense, I would just face them towards me, sitting on my lap. If it was loud, cover their ears. My kids have always been good travelers and interestly enough, now that they are much older, Epcot is still one of their favorite theme parks. You will never know what he will like or won't like until you take him. Depending upon how the transportation is running, allow 30 minutes from the Poly to Epcot. You can take the monorail to TTC and then the monorail to Epcot...or you could drive and park in 20 minutes.
