gippie, friends of mine went on Saturday (out of P-town) and saw about 50 humpbacks and also saw dolphins (rare to see here). Someone came in my office yesterday and told me her mom went on Sunday and saw 60 humpbacks and dolphins. The biologist on board gives the numbers at the end of the trip because they are tracking them. Just mentioning this so readers of this won't think they are made up numbers!
I really want to go again. They saw way more than I did.

Thanks for sharing, Gomiki! I have been on several whalewatches and never been so lucky as to see three kinds. However, they were all interesting. Was just down on the Cape last week. Wish I had done one!
Just a reminder when out on the water. Even if it is chilly, the combination of bright sun and water reflections can give one a heck of a sunburn. I forgot to put on sunblock the last time I did one. It was April and a bit chilly, so I had on a jacket, but came home with a red face that was very sore for several days. Went back to school with a peeling nose.
