Westminster dog show

Where's Josh when we need him?
There are some really strange looking critters at the event this year.
I always vote for the Greyhound even 'tho the AKC GHs are lots different than the working/racing dogs.

The IG was pretty good in the very tough toy group tonight.

Does anyone know where all those dogs (and owners) stay while in NYC? How do owners eat, etc. since I imagine they would not even consider leaving such a valuable animal in a hotel room. (Does this count as making this thread travel-related?)

Oh, I'm SO glad you asked! They stay at the infamous Hotel Pennsylvania, which Dave Barry describes so well. We are told that they are allowed to use the ballroom as the, um, doggie rest area.

I used to watch the shows with some degree of seriousness, until I saw Christopher Guest's Best of Show...absolutely priceless!

pine nuts....peanuts....pistachio nuts....walnuts.....I can't watch the bloodhounds in the show without that refrain starting in my head.
