wellfleet, ma

My husband and I are going to Wellfleet for a few days and need some restaurant suggestions. We're looking for restaurants where you can eat outdoors or overlooking the water. We are willing to also go to Truro or Provincetown. Moderate priced restaurants are best options. We enjoy all types of food but seafood is our favorite.

If you want in Wellfleet, there is a restaurant on the bay side that overlooks the water. We watched windsurfers from there a while ago. Of course you are close to Provincetown where there are plenty of places to eat at a variety of price points.

Mac's Shack is terrific. No water views, can eat outside. There is also Mac's on the Pier. I have not dined there but the owner is the same. They have very fresh seafood. Not inexpensive. www.macsseafood.com

We love the Bookstore & Restaurant in Wellfleet, right across the street from Mayo Beach.

We also ate at The Pearl several times. We enjoyed our meals the majority of the time; however, we were disappointed during one visit. It's on Wellfleet harbor, around the corner from The Bookstore & Restaurant.

The Beachcomber is a one of a kind, must go kind of place. Unfortunately Labor Day is always the last day of the season. It's still worth the drive to Cahoon Hollow Beach.
