Weekend wine tasting in Carmel

I am a native californian who has never been to Wine Country! I am coming up from Los Angeles for a weekend stay in Carmel Valley. My husband and I are driving up Friday Morning, and going home Sunday. If anyone knows of any great wineries or "must sees" I would love to know, I have no idea what to do while visiting. Thanks!

We were in Carmel Valley in May and really like the Chateau St. Julien and the Bernardus wineries. For a great lunch, stop at Wickets at the Bernardus Lodge. Beautiful property and great food! ***kim***

Drive out CARMEL VALLEY ROAD. You will find the Julien Winery, Bernadus and Heller Estates. All have nice tasting rooms. We belong to the Heller Estates Wine Club and enjoy the wines they send us.
