This post made me think of Betty Carter's rendition of the song 'Moonlight in Vermont'. (actually I had been thinking of it earlier)
Betty Carter was a phenomenal, fiercely independent jazz singer who died of cancer last year, shortly after receiving an award on the White House lawn.
If you are famaliar with Betty Carter's rendition of this classic song, I'd love to hear your comments and if you are not, check it out, it is beautiul.
