Josie,

The Village Country Inn has a very romantic dining room with a Prefix Menu. Many of the B&B's that have dining rooms are also good choices. Where are you staying? What time of year? This would help me your selection.

This post made me think of Betty Carter's rendition of the song 'Moonlight in Vermont'. (actually I had been thinking of it earlier)

Betty Carter was a phenomenal, fiercely independent jazz singer who died of cancer last year, shortly after receiving an award on the White House lawn.

If you are famaliar with Betty Carter's rendition of this classic song, I'd love to hear your comments and if you are not, check it out, it is beautiul.

We're going in February, and we have rented a small cottage just outside of Manchester. We were hoping to rent snowmobiles as well. We've never been to Vermont, so all of your suggestions are greatly appreciated!

In Bennington (20 min. south), try Bennington Station. For breakfast, Blue Ben Diner.
