Weekend Getaway from NJ

My wife and I are looking to get away for a weekend from northern New Jersey. It will be our last trip before the baby comes this spring. We'd like to drive less than 200 miles and don't want to go to the Catskills since we go there all the time.

Where would you go?

The Hamptons; Mystic, Connecticut; Boston; Cape May; Bucks County, PA; Lower New England; Delaware's beach area, to name a few.

How about D.C., the Inner Harbor in Baltimore or Annapolis?

Ditto Cape May. Romantic and quaint, quiet time of year. Also mentioned is New Hope. You can visit, Lahaska Peddlers village, and wineries. Trees will be blooming, so it should be very scenic. Great Restaurants in the area as well.

Hi Spike, I live 10 minutes from New Hope and Doylestown in Bucks County and the area is indeed beautiful. But I agree with the other posters for Cape May. A great B&B is the Fairthorne, ask for the Emma Kate suite. The owners Ed & Diane are great. You'll park the car and walk to the beach to stroll and to fabulous restaurants. Now you have me thinking. Good luck with the baby.
