What kind of food do you like? Horsefeathers restaurant is right in the center of town and you can walk from your hotel. I think the food there is great.
The Red Parka Pub has the best steak. It is right Rt. 302 (north from your hotel) on the left just past the junction of 302/16 in Glen.
How familiar are you with the area? If you haven't been there before, make sure you take a drive on the Kancamagus Highway from Conway to Lincoln.
You can also go kayaking or canoeing on the Saco. Saco Bound in Conway has a variety of trips.

Red Fox is a good kid friendly restaurant, food is on pare with Applebees or the 99. I do love their steaktip salad and steaktip potato skins. Reasonabally priced.
Shannon Door had the best pizza anyplace in the world (I think). Great entertainment on Fri/Sat nights. 2 for 1 pizzas on Wed.
Never tried the Yankee Smokehouse...
I just wrote the following for my brother who is house sitting for us in a few weeks.
Our favorites are:
#1 tied - The White Mountain Cider House, casual dress but upscale food, we go here once a week, in Bartlett on Rt 302 (take a right after Storyland onto 302 and it's about a 5 minute drive on your left) http://www.whitemountaincider.com/re...enus/menu.html - need reservations call a few days ahead, open for dinner only.
#1 tied - Libby's Bistro, also casual dress, we go here 2-3 times a month, upscale food in Gorham (take a right on to Rt 16 and follow until the traffic light, take a left and Libby's is on the left a few hundred yards down the street) http://www.libbysbistro.net/menu2.html - need reservations call a few days ahead, open for dinner only, about a 20 minute drive from here, be VERY careful when driving there, lots of moose, two people were killed on that road just this week. She usually has $22 three course dinner specials on Friday nights, last week she did a $15 antipasto buffet + 3 tapas per person special.
Maestro's - best Italian, but really, really slow service, if you have the time and your heart is set on Italian it's worth the wait. There is one chef who makes each dish individually to order (we waited an hour for salad and another 45 minutes for dinner the last time we were there and it was mud season) On Route 16, take a left after Stroryland and it will be on your right maybe about 3 miles once you take the left, in a small strip mall with Katrina's Organic Market and a Artisian's Gallery - need reservations, open for dinner only. Katrina's has good healthy lunches & hiking snacks (a bit expensive).
Delany's has good sushi and their other food is really good too (I think they may be open for lunch). They are on the right on Rt 16, a mile or so past Maestro's. http://www.delaneys.com/
The Shannon Door is our favorite pizza and our wedding band plays there Saturday nights in the summer, open for dinner only. Good pizza down in N Conway at Flatbread Pizza too.
Bancock Cafe (next to Aaron Hats) in the Center of N Conway is good too (not sure if it is open for lunch) - http://www.yelp.com/biz/bangkok-cafe-north-conway
If you want to stay close, we like all of the Jackson restaurants all in the loop (all only open for dinner) - Thompson House Eatery (sometimes slow service), Wildcat Tavern (pub menu good too), Wentworth (good apps, don't like for dinner - we sit in the bar, listen to Judy do sing along type songs on the piano and play pool - they only have one pool table but usually no one is using it) & Inn at Thorn Hill (our wedding place - very expensive).
The Red Fox Pub (Rt 16 right down by the covered bridge) is okay - cheaper food, good steak tip salad, open for lunch - good if you are on a budget but food about the quality of a 99 or Applebees. They have a very cheap Sunday buffet which isn't bad (abt $6 or $7 pp).
White Mountain Hotel at Hales location off of West Side Road has a really good Sunday buffet, it's kind of expensive (I think about $20 pp) and you need reservations.
We used to like Horsefeathers in N Conway but the last two times we were there it was gross. We heard that there are new owners....
There is a new place in N Conway downtown called Wine Thyme, it's a wine and tapas bar with outside tables. The tapas are really good - very creative chef - maybe a good afternoon snack.
There is a new crepe place in N Conway as well. We haven't tried it yet, but it's is their second place. The first is in Wolfboro - it was featured on Chronicle a few months ago and looked really good.
For breakfast our most favorite place is the Moonbeam Cafe up in Gorham. They only have 5-6 tables so we try to get there before 8 to make sure we don't end up in a line. All organic, really, really yummy! Head in the same direction as Libby's, take a left at the traffic light and then a left onto the first little side street (or it may be the second side street), it's on the left.
Yesterday's in the Jackson loop has good breakfasts as does Peaches down in North Conway (pass through the center of town and it's on your left as you exit the town).
The Met in North Conway Center is a good coffee/pastry place.
J-town deli in the Jackson loop has good sandwiches for lunch. If you are going to grill outside they sell really yummy homemade sausages, also good for groceries or other supplies (kind of like Robinson's News Agency).
