Planner-There is nothing wrong with asking for TRAVEL advice when planning a wedding. But, when it comes to continually asking details about planning, it grows tiresome. Kelly posted a previous thread on this subject and got pretty snippy when no one answered her question, and to top it off, she came across as a spoiled, self-centered brat. Needless, to say, she was flamed pretty badly. Then she tried to post 2 other threads under aliases before starting this thread. Some people just don't have a clue and Kelly is one of them...

Kelly, I attended the wedding of a good friend at the WDW chapel. She used the Cinderella theme, complete with carriage ride, and followed with a reception at the Grand Floridian. It was a fabulous wedding, and she tells me the WDW staff treated her like a princess. Everything was finely executed, down to the last detail, and she had the wedding of her dreams. Her costs were $12,000+, but all her guests paid for their own hotel accomodations. She recommends you talk further with the WDW staff. They're great, and will be happy to answer your questions. As a guest, I can tell you the entire wedding was wonderful, and I was delighted for my girlfriend! Good luck!!

Getting hitched-Thanks for bringing up a tired old post just so you can have your input! As far as Kelly goes, she kept posting on this forum, using other names and being rude and nasty to everyone. No wonder everyone turned on her! It really is hard to feel sorry for a little bitch like Kelly.

Shouldn't the Fodor's editors bleep out words like *itch? I didn't know profanity was so rampant these days, I don't like it! Anyway, I saw nothing wrong with Kelly's postings, though I may have missed something as you claim she posted under several names (how do you know?)
I think Disneyworld sounds like a great place for a wedding. I actually thought though that it would be VERY expensive, after all it is disney where a coke is $5! The post that talked about using cinderella's coach etc. and only costing $12,000 sounded quite reasonable. My daughter had a church wedding last year with a hotel reception in Birmingham. We had less than 300 people and spent around $15,000. Believe me this was not fancy either. We had a buffet, there was not even a sit down dinner. Prices these days are INSANE!

I will be going to my niece's wedding at Walt Disneyworld in August. I'm not sure what the wedding is costing but I think there will be less than 50 guests in attendance, all family with the exception of the best man and maid of honor and their significant others. We are paying our own way but received a group disount as a block of rooms was reserved at a special price for guests at Dixie Landings. We are also getting discount passes as agroup for park admission. I beleive the wedding is in a gazebo on a lake n the early evening with a reception following outdoors at dusk by candlelight. "Munchies" are being served but no meal. My niece seems very happy with the arrangements Disney has made though I'll be sure to report following the trip!
