wedding in vegas

my mother in law is getting married in Las vegas. She wants to find a chapel that is charming not cheesy, but also not too pricey. There will only be about 8 guests. Any suggestions?

My nephew was married in the Chapel at the Flamingo. It was not cheesy at all and there were many nice photo opportunities outdoors in the garden. There were about 25 of us at his wedding. I can highly recommend.

All the hotels that I know of, at least strip ones, have chapels. My understanding is that they are not cheesey as the stand alone ones. It would make sense to me that the less expensive hotels would have the least expensive wedding packages. Most list these on their web sites.

By the way, what's wrong with cheesey...it is Vegas after all!

I got package info and prices for the chapel (actually there are two to choose from) at the Paris Hotel. Not cheesy, quite elegant, and they had various package prices to choose from.

My sister got married at the Candlelight Wedding Chapel across from Circus Circus, and it was not cheesy at all. Its small, intimate setting was perfect. They only had one attendant each, and there were about 5 guests.

How sweet of you to be planning your mother-in-law's wedding! I'm sure you will find a great place.

IMHO - the best "non-cheesy" wedding chapel in this town is The Little Church of the West." It is on LV Blvd & Russell across from Mandalay Bay. It stands alone - no casino at all and is beautiful and quaint. I know several people who've gotten married there and they all were very happy with it - it is very charming.

I agree with bashfulLV. It's beautiful there and the only casino really in sight is Mandalay Bay. Most other standalone churches in Vegas are surrounded by casinos, adult motels, or other non-romantic structures (although they may be rather nice inside). I think the Little Church of the West may also have a webcam, in case you have people who can't make it.

I got married at Little Church of the West. It's quaint, actually looks like a church, gazebo outside for pictures. The do have a web cam for people that can't be there.

I also used Enchanted Florist, they were absolutely fantastic.
