LasVegas wedding ceremonies - any experiences?

My son and his fiancee are planning on getting hitched at one of the hotel wedding chapels next summer. Mandalay Bay is their preliminary idea. I'd be interested in hearing from others who've gotten married in LasVegas and any yay/nay experiences? What hotel has the prettiest chapel? Or does the best deal? etc...Thanks!

I got married in Las Vegas, going back in November to renew our vows. We got married at the Little White Wedding Chapel, not the fanciest, but it sure was a lot of fun. Doing all over at the same place. I know several couple who go "hitched" in Vegas, some have been married for over 20 years. Who says in you can't have luck in Vegas?

My nephew got married at the Bellagio last December. It was very nice -- simple and elegant not Vegas trashy. They have pricing information on their website.

Twelve & a half years ago my husband & I got married at Little Chapel of the West. This chapel came highly recommended by someone I worked with, who had gotten married there, and it was everything I had hoped for. Very nice. Very professional. Not tacky.

I saw on the Travel Channel that you can get married in a gondola in the Venetian Hotel, looked really cool!

I am going to attend a family wedding the last weekend of this month at Caesar's Palace. The ceremony is going to take place in a garden and the reception is being held in a suite. I'll post back when I return if you're still interested.

My nephew was married at the Flamingo Hilton two years ago. It was really a lovely setting. The wedding chapel is a separate building in a lovely landscaped area of the hotel grounds. Because of all the foliage, waterfalls and flowers, the pictures are beautiful. I was very pleasantly surprised by the whole experience.

I was married at Caesars this past July. We were happy with everything. Bellagio is regarded as the prettiest but typically 3-4X pricier than other strip properties. We liked Mandalay but each chapel only seats 50. You can combine them but essentially pay double so it wasn't worth it for us having 60 people. Paris was nice, Monte Carlo is probably the best combo of price/appearance but they are very busy, it seemed like one wedding on top of another. Little Church of the West is probably the most reputable of the non-casino chapels.
