Weather in Maui in September

Planning a trip to Maui in September. Any area rainier, more windy than others that time of year? We like to hike, snorkel, kayak, kick back on the beach.

I've only been once, but it was September. It seems the northand east parts of the island are the wetter part, meaning the road to Hana, and Hana itself are pretty rainy. We stayed in south Maui which was quite dry the whole time, and seems generally arid, so I think it tends to be warm and sunny a lot. It was actually very warm in early September.

we usually go to Maui in September.
we stay in the Kapalua/Napili area and it can be windy but we don't have any issues with rain unless going south toward Hana and if it does rain, it seems to be brief and wonderful.

Thanks for the help. I'll have more questions later on where to stay!

We went in October last year and stayed on the west side, Ka'anapali. Weather was perfect. It lightly rained once in the morning, but it was warm and only lasted a couple hours.
